John Blizzard came to America from St. Helens, England. He purchased the old Fort Seybert from Nicholas Seybert, then of Frederick Maryland, on the Southfork of the Potomac. The old fort had been the site of a masscre in the French and Indian war. The 200 acres was sold for 200 pound Sterling in 1768. The Ezekiel Blizzard family then moved to include Clark County, Indiana, across from Louisville Kentucky, where my ancestor James Carroll of Pennsylvania met and married Hanna E Blizzard.Pigeonroost, Indiana Info
