Certified Healthcare Financial Professional in Managed Care Awarded 1996

The Healthcare Financial Management Association recognizes selected members with the Certified Healthcare Financial Professional designation.  Those professionals have demonstrated competence in one or more of the following health-care financial fields: Managed Care, Patient Accounts, Group-Practice Management, or Hospital Finance.  

Named originally in 1996 as a "Certified Managed Care Professional". In 1997 the HFMA restructured its certification to include two levels of designation: CHFP and FHFMA.
