HEATH FAMILY
Name:
The name is based on the local, lived on a "heath". Found first in Durham as the family seat. Some found in Ireland.
History:
Our family history begins with Sir Robert Heath; Governor of the Carolinas, and his adventures in England. Then to his grandson, William, who held a plantation in the last half of the 17th century on the south side of the James River, across from Jamestown, at about Chippakes Creek, Surry, and other land in Prince George County.
