Private Jonathan Prater
Private Continental Army
Jonathan Prater was a native of Pittsylvania and Russell County, Virginia. He
enlisted in the Revolutionary forces in Henry County, Virginia. He was the brother of
Archibald Prater, and may have accompanied him in
his exploration of Kentucky.
