Professional Biography

Mark S. Carroll, FHFMA


Mark Carroll has over 28 years of experience in Military Healthcare.  He served on Active Duty in the US Army for 24 years in various roles as a Medical Service Corps Officer. He retired in 1996 as a Health Services Comptroller in the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. While in uniform, he served in roles as Administrator, Instructor, Recruiter, Comptroller, Managed Care Regional Chief Operations Officer, and hospital Executive Officer. Since retirement he has served in roles of Healthcare Consultant, Project Manager, and most recently  ROTC Assistant Professor of Military Science and Marketing Manager.

Colonel Carroll has been an active member of professional organizations for several years. He is a Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, and is certified as a Healthcare Financial Professional in Managed Care. He is also a member of the American Society of Military Comptrollers.

Colonel Carroll holds a Masters of Business Administration from Syracuse University in Organization and Management, a Master of Arts in Public Administration from the University of Northern Colorado, and a Bachelors of Arts in History from the University of Kentucky. He is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma National Honor Society.
