Private David H. York
47th Kentucky Volunteer Mounted Rifles,
1845-

David York was born in Kentucky in about 1840's if his age was listed correctly on the records. He enrolled in the 47th Kentucky Volunteer Infantry on July 25th and was mustered at Irvine on October 5,1863 in Company A. He was present for all musters, and was mustered out as a private in Lexington on December 26, 1864, receiving $31.64 on his last payday.

The same day that David mustered, there was also a Alfred York (aged 18), and William York (aged 35) who mustered with Company A. These are likely his relatives, and his is likely a descendant of Jeremiah and Lea Clark York of Clay County.

Zetta's cousin?
